I bought this gun at an auction. then went pick it up at a gun shop as the rules are. but didn't ask enough questions. I thought I could use the bullets from my .22 cal winchester rifle. .22 long. but when I take a closer look at the pistal. I'm not sure if it is ok . the gun has two cylenders. one is marked .22 mag the other is marked .22 long. but the bullets say MINI mag. this is a 6 shot revolver made in italy. I don't see a date or model number on it. I do see this. down one side of the barral is. MANUAL FREE FROM EAA CORP-HIALEAH-FLA THWE OTHER SIDES SAYS. MOD.EA-MADE IN ITALY is this the correct bullets for this gun. they seem to fit perfectly in eather cylender. I was told that the mag. bullet was a little larger diameter. but this package says "mini mags". ( I think I got them from Kmart) brand name. CCI .22 long rifle hollow point. any help?"?
I hope that helped.

22magnum, or 22WMRF(Winchester Magnum Rimfire) are different and must be used only in rifles and pistols chambered for them. They are, as you said, slightly larger in diameter, as well as longer.
It seems strange that you say the cartridges fit the same in both cylinders. They should be noticibly more loose in one cylinder than the other, if the one cylinder is truly chambered for 22magnum.
But that doesn't mean it is not possible. My uncle had me finring .22 LR's from a mini mag cylinder all day long when I was a kid. We didn't realize the mistake until we were cleaning it.
I always wondered why that pistol shot crap out of the sides. Got burned half a dozen times that day.
Just make sure to keep the twocylinders and shells seperate when you shoot. Be happy with the purchase as it is a lot of fun to shoot the mags, boy are they loud!!!!
