whenever i go to auction arms.com, or impactguns, or gunbroker, or gunsamerica...they all say that when you buy a handgun, it has to be shipped to the buyer's FFL dealer. does this mean you have to be 21 to buy a handgun online? if you are a gun control supporter do not answer this question.
That said, it is still legal for someone 18 and over to POSSES a handgun.
Since the above named sites are in fact online marketplaces they fall under federal law.
So yes, to be in accordance with federal law, you must have any handgun purchases shipped to a valid FFL.

Online purchases for firearms work kind of like autobytel. You pick the model you want from one dealer and have it sent to another dealer where you then go through a Face to Face transaction and background check just like if you were buying a gun from the store performing the transfer.
All online sales allow you to do is get the make and model of gun sent to a gun store closer to you so you can buy it.
The news Media makes it sound like you can order a weapon online and have it sent to your house. This is absolutely false and has never been the case.
You must want a handgun so bad you can taste it. Weren't you the one asking about the Straw Purchase? A dealer is not going to transfer the gun to you. The Supreme Court decision does not support handguns in the hand of persons under 21 years of age.
You can not legally have a handgun by transfer. You can through a private sale. There is no paper trail in most states
