What happens when a delinquent debt is auctioned off online? Such as a uninsured person has to go to the hospital, can't pay the bill...but somewhere down the line get that job,,but because they had a delinquent debt that was posted online it effects their credit report, which [prevents them from getting that car they wanted which starts the cycle all over again...Examples needed and sites to research..

- Delinquent debts are not sold at online auctions. Typically the original creditor will either assign or, most often, sell a group of bad debts to collection agencies. The collection agencies then report the debt to the credit bureaus.
Derogatory items on your credit file drop your score and would make it more difficult to get a car loan. Might even affect potential job offers.
- Depends on the age of the debt. Look under fair credit reporting act. They can only follow legal actions for a limited time, but there are groups that will try to get you to pay a portion, but if you do it can bring the debt back to life.
