How do I get rid of all the little annoying things (see details) that show up on my computer?

They say like "Jewelry Auctions" "2007 Credit Report" and "Auto Insurance" and by seekmo they say "Diet", "Car Rental" and "Online Shopping". I don't want all this stuff on my computer when I first get on. How do I get rid of it?

Just go to add/or remove programs, and there should be a program in there that you downloaded when downloading some file that keeps sending ads, it happened to me and all i did was uninstall the file and they were gone. The program on my computer was called When you Save but there are alot of different names too so it could be different.
