Does anyone know of any police car auctions/auctions in Los Angeles?
My car broke down last week and I need/have to get something in a hurry, I heard police car auctions were something I should look into. Also, If you have any tips on what I should look for and how to possible get the best deal. If you know of any other auctions that would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

- sometimes they are a good deal, you never really know the full condition of the car till after you bought it though, so it has to be a risk your willing to take. I'm also in the LA area but I don't know where they hold the auctions, try asking your local towin yard.
- If you need a car fast buy a police car from the police department in San Pedro there usually around 1200 and have from 60,00 to 100,00 miles on then, I have a friend who have bought them and has had good luck with them. Auction car are not good unless your a mechanic because you can't road test them, you might get a good one or you might get one needing a transmission or something else,Its a chance to take. - I was in a similar situation and I did some research trying to find seized cars. It turned out that I actually was able to buy a car from the Department of Energy. There are a ton a federal auctions all over the country. According to federalgovernmentsales.com, there are over 15 different government departments that have auctions regularly.
