Have my own art auction?
I have been asked by a relative to see about selling 3 large peices of art. The works are 7 feet by 20 feet each and I am receiving no response from the larger auction houses. The artist has sold paintings recently for over 10k, and these were small paintings. I was thinking of the logistics, ads in auction, interior design, horse racing, and online ads. Rental of the auction site, security, ect. Taking all these in to consideration, I want to know what else I should be thinking about for this project. The murals are considered fine art by Millard Sheets and I have access to all the provenance available. Give your 2 cents if you can thanks. M

- Given the size of the art, I think your best bet is to try direct marketing to businesses with an office large enough to display the art properly (lobby of an office building).
