Is buying a house in Australia auction only?
My fiancee is getting a job transfer to Sydney. I have been looking online and there's really no place to see all the listings in once place and by what I am gathering I seem to think that Australia's main residential real estate is done by auction. Am I wrong? Is the process of buying a house similar to Canada/United States? Also, is there a place where I can type in what our criteria is for a house and see all the houses in that criteria for sale? A multi-listing type deal? I guess I am just confused on how to find a house in Australia! It's hard to do over the web. Thank you!
