how to calcuate gold content from 10, 14, 18, 22, 24K gold?
Hi, Thank you so much for your answers. I really appreciate it.. My main purpose to buy gold jewelry from paw shops as well as online auctions to refine to get the gold content. I saw two hoops 14k gold (0.6g) = 0.02 ounce..selling for $22 This is how i caluclated please let me know if i am wrong. 0.02/58.5% gold content = 0.01 ounce $972 today spot price * 0.01 = $9.72 per ounce.. i will get if i melt that hoops..and they are charging for $22.. please let me know Did I do right calucalation? or is there somehint else way to do it so i can know before I buy. thank you have a nice weekend
