Good sites/commuities for me to sell my Jewelry on?

I have a collection of quality estate and new jewelry ranging in price from $50 to $5000, and am having a hard time finding places online where I can offer my jewelry for sale and/or auction to knowledgeable buyers. I have been considering eBay but when I browse through the jewelry products up for sale there I never seem too see high quality/priced items. This leads me to assume I would have trouble finding buyers for my finer pieces. Taking this into consideration, can you recommend me to sites or online communities that would allow me to communicate and do business with more likely buyers and collectors? If you need any additional information to allow you to better direct me, please request it and I will edit it in. Thank you.

  1. Bidz.com is also best site to sell your jewelry.

  2. You could try some of the websites on http://www.auctionalfie.com/sell/ but you might be better off going to a local auction house for the more expensive items

  3. I have to be honest with you. It is VERY hard to re-sell jewelry for its full value, especially online. You will probably take a loss on most of it if you paid retail prices. e-Bay used to be a great place to sell, but there are far too many sellers and too much competition. It is hard for your item to stand out on e-Bay, even if it is beautiful heirloom jewelry. Also, e-Bay buyers are looking for bargains. They won't pay full price. None of the other auction sites come close to e-Bay, so the others hardly have any buyers.

You might try looking through reputable classified ads sites to list your item. Or, try google base http://base.google.com/

They allow you to list items singly even if you don't have a web site. Google is the top search engine these days, so it is always good to have your item searchable through their site.

Wherever you list your jewelry, great pictures are essential to selling a very expensive item. So are full descriptions and intelligent grammar. You want potential buyers to take you seriously and realize just how nice your items are!
