Up here they advertise them on local press and radio, they have them twice a year. call into the police station and ask them when the next one is due
Look in Auctions section in local free newspaper. These auctions are not usually exclusively police or bailiff auctions, just second hand goods auctions. In fact I have never seen them advertised as bailiff auctions. Probably not good advertising to state " bailiff confiscated" The phrase "police lost property" is used as an advertising slogan though.
