Public Comments
- Federal, state, county, and local law enforcement agencies conduct scheduled auctions of surplus and seized vehicles. By law, these auctions must be announced to the public, usually by newspaper. Federal auctions are announced in USA Today (Fridays, I believe). State and local auctions may be annnounced in local newspapers. If you have multiple newspapers in your area, the announcements would only be in one of them, on a certain day of the week or month. Some auctions are held regularly, some are only held as needed. Contact your local newspaper offices for publication schedules, or call the police departments directly.
- Call your local police department or look in the newspaper under the "announcements" section
