What is the most successful fund raising auction item?
I'm very involved with running a charity auction, and I NEED great auction items that will raise lots of money and interest the people that are invited to our event. Any ideas?

- Are there any innovative, well-known, successful business leaders in your area? Do your board members have any close contacts with these people?
If so, ask them to donate an evening of their time to the highest bidder. The auction item could be 3 hours of this person's time to discuss business ideas, leadership strategies, networking, etc. over a catered dinner. The dinner can be one on one, or for a small party (maybe 5 people).
People will definitely bid for the opportunity to spend some "quality time" with a local business leader.
