A question for people who use that well known on-line auction site (you know the one I mean) starts with an E?

Do you have a "trotting" account you use to boost the price of your stuff you are selling. BE HONEST

  1. of course!

  2. I know people who do. I personally don;t use Ebay

  3. No, because I don't sell. I just buy.

  4. i only buy on e.bay and only when the price is low but i wouldnt be surprised if it was a common thing

  5. Nope, I have 3 accounts but I will never resort to 'shilling' which is to bid on your own auctions.

Someone tried it with me on an auction I was bidding for.

I told eBay and they removed the member who had 20000+ feedback notes and was a powerseller. They then pursued him for fraud.

    I'll not do it.

  6. Honestly, I've never EVER found that to be necessary so, no, I don't do so. My rating is about 150 so I'm neither at the top of the sales list (not even close) but I'm also not new at it.

If you have merchandise that people want ... do a good job of describing it (being thorough - - - something that sometimes seems to be unique) ... and maintain the auction for an appropriate amount of time (given the type of merchandise you're selling) ... there is no need to try to cheat the system.

  7. No. I refuse to participate in illicit activity.

  8. no maybe we are dumb, but we don't

  9. nope! more comfortable doing business on the "up & up".

  10. I don't know what that means, but I am very honest with the things I sell, and with the postage costs....... I must be mad.

  11. No, it is not a wise choice in the long run. If you get caught there will be a price to pay. I've heard of sellers caught in the act and banned for their fraudulent behavior.

  12. I've been on ebay for two years and have heard of these thing happening but I've never seen it and i refuse to do it my self my luck I'd win and then I not only lose on people who would have paid but then theres their ridculas fees. To much of a risk if you ask me and kinda silly.
