How often do you get ripped off shopping online? (including online auctions)?
Please answer as an expressed percentage if possible. Ex: 15% of the time, 5% of dollar value spent.

- 0% of the time. There's no reason to get ripped off shopping online. Talk to someone who knows what they're doing.
- 0% The only thing that has happened to me, is the person put a sweater as XL and it was really L but refunded me.
- I'd say 5% of the time. I don't shop online much. The only time something's been wrong is one time when I ordered a used hardcover book from Amazon and it came as a paperback. I just ate the cost and ordered another.
- My sister got ripped off for the first time on ebay. She won an auction on an item, sent a check, it cleared, and it's been 3 wks since she's seen the items in the mail. She's emailed this individual, but no response. She turned them into ebay with no response as of yet. So I would say 1%.
- 300+ EBay auctions. 1 bad one. Never had a bad online store purchase. So both percentages would be close to zero.
- I don't think I have ever been 'ripped off' from online-shopping. I buy a lot of things online because there are many things I want that I can't even find around here. I have only ever had a few problems. The most recent was when I ordered an mp3 player for my sister at Christmas, and it arrived completely broken. They refunded my money completely (even the shipping) and let me keep the broken one including the headphones and software. The only other problems I've really had included items taking too long to arrive, sending wrong size, etc. I have been very fortunate so far. (knock on wood!)
