Is eBay pissing you off with these new policies?

They are driving me nuts. Now when I search for auctions, they are sorted by "best match". Why do they keep screwing with a good thing? Wonder how much business I'll loose to this smooth move. When you have one of the top 10 online websites, you dont go screwing around with it. Wish I could beat the tar out of the new CEO. Anyone else being annoyed by this new junk, please complain. Thank you.

  1. I was annoyed with the new layout they tried to unfold; I was glad to see you could reset it to the previous setup, 'cause it was very hard to find things. As for how the search results are listed, I didn't really notice it changed default settings, but obviously, you can change how they're listed; I do all the time, I prefer listed by least expensive to most, so I change it; and a lot of the time, if I'm already logged in, it maintains that setting.
  2. Many sellers are especially upset with their new policies. They are now literally a partner with the sellers with the fees they charge. They made a big deal with lower insertion fees by lowering them about ten-cents or thereabouts. But, they raised the final value fees to a percentage of the sale. They will start to lose business with their greed. When eBay started out it was great but, yes, they did screw around too much with a good thing.
  3. they supposedly did this because only 20% of the USA is willing to use eBay (as a buyer). This means that 80% of the population is terrified of eBay, for one reason or another. The main reason is the people don't trust other people, and are in fear of being a victim of fraud. The changes eBay made this year are meant to reduce fraud, and to make sellers more responsible and accountable. That's the reasoning. Whether it's the best way to do this, i don't know.
  4. Ebay actually has no competition to answer to, so they can and will do anything they want.
