Are there any online auction sites similar to ebay that have a minimum bidding period of less than 3 days?
I am on holidays from work and would like to get out and do stuff... However its only a short holiday and I would like to sell some of my old stuff online as a bit of extra would make for a better holiday... the minimum 3 day waiting period is the thing that is holding me back... are there any online auction sites similar to ebay that allow you to make shorter listings e.g. 12 or 24 hours ?

- Yes as per my concern most of the auction sites are as same as ebay, in their basic functionality and most of them provide 3 day grace for the auction., known as days of grace.
- I believe you can have a live chat auction for the duration of your choice at Bonanzle.
- no other auction sites are going to have even 1/100th of the eyeball traffic of ebay - so you probably have even less of a chance of selling it there
you can always end an auction early as soon as you get a bid you like, but there is no guarantee they will pay you immediately and the shorter the auction, the less potential money you will get - if you sell at all
