Where are public real estate foreclosure auctions listed at?

I looked in the Houston Chronicle and saw like 6 of them, and they were all held like 4-6 months ago. Where can I find upcoming ones without having to pay some site to show me? Thank you

  1. Go down to your local courthouse and ask the clerk where the foreclosure list is kept. Then go check the list and if you find any listing that you like, write down the document numbers and take those back to the clerk. Ask the clerk to pull those files and you will find all the information you need like attorney who is handling the foreclosure, owner name, addresses, date of sale, how much is owed, etc. These are of public record and free.but if you need copies those will cost you.
