I have been ripped off on an online auction, what can I do?
Recently I heard about a new auction site for guns and ammo. I contacted and purchased some hard to find target ammo for my rifle. The seller requested that I use a USPS money order to pay him. This is not out of the ordinary for this site. So I sent the money, and now this guy has been ducking and dodging phone calls and email going on 3 weeks now. He has given me 3 different shipping dates that the package was supposedly "scheduled" for pick up. Since the last date for shipping he has not responded with promised tracking info for the package. My question is, what can I do to get my money back?

- you may be able to report the site do not order from them and tell everyone you can they are con artists
- You can report this to the US Postal Inspection Service. The use of a Postal Money Order as well as the US Mail to perpetrate a fraud is a Felony. However, you state that it is going on 3 weeks. You do know that the FTC guidelines are that unless stated otherwise, a merchant has 30 days to ship your order? Didn’t Get What You Ordered? Legitimate businesses appreciate feedback. Check the offer for the delivery time frame, usually 6 to 8 weeks, and then contact the company. Please wait 2 weeks after contacting them before contacting us. When a delivery time is not specified, a Federal Trade Commission rule mandates fulfillment within 30 days, unless you applied for first-time credit with the company. For more information on compliance rules for businesses, read the Federal Trade Commission Mail or Telephone Order Merchandise Rules. http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/business/adv/bus02.shtm
