question for people who REALLY know about car auctions?

I am looking at a vehicle at a dealership which they said they bought at auction- I asked for the title history- he said the carfax is clean, but the auction paperwork says "frame" which he told me they write on ANY car even if it just had a little fender bump- so, what's the deal for real?

  1. Pass on it, they only write that if there is an issue.

  2. He is jerkin' your chain. I would not take their word for it. Have them run the vehicle report or walk away. They don't write "frame" on a vehicle that has not had substantial damage.

  3. The aution is going to cover their a** if they know something is wrong with vehicle, if frame is on paper work beware good dealers don't sell wrecked vehicles. Before buying have the car checked out or go to the auction yourself , I bought my last 3 trucks from auctions still rolling one w/310,000 & w/280,000 miles the othe i sold but i see time to time on the hwy.

  4. No, they don't put that on any car with a fender bender. They put that on cars with frame damage which is difficult and nearly impossible to fix safely.

    STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!
