  1. Kimber sure does make a sweet handgun...but they can be pricey..but in my opinion they are worth every penny. The glock is a good 10mm, had a friend that had one..not a problem with it. Have not yet seen a Colt 10 in action...But i own a Colt 44mag...that I love. If I could afford it, I would pick the Kimber (but, I am partial to them).

  2. The Colt or Kimber... flip a coin. If you like 1911 type pistols and you gave me the choice, I'd buy the one I could make the best deal on.

Add a Glock into the mix and you are looking at apples vs oranges... Glock is a operating platform all to itself.

Spending a lot of money? That won't always get you the "best gun" -just the most expensive.

I am not a Glock guy at all--- but if you have limited handgun experience you may be better off with a Glock. "Safe Action" pistols offer similar operating issues you would find in a revolver. Very good "defensive" style pistols.

The 1911 is the premier "fighting" pistol... and requires a lot of training to manage if you want to carry one "c*cked and locked"... I do -but I have been working with one for over 20 years.

  3. I'd personally go for the Colt Delta Elite. It's based on a classic that was used with good effect by the US Army 1911-1985. The Kimber is a dolled up copy of the classic Colt that costs more but may not be worth it. The Glock doesn't feel right iin my hand, and its lack of a safety is dangerous. The trigger on a trigger is a bad design to me. I much prefer the H&K P7 with a safety lever on the front of the grip that is operated independently of the trigger.

  4. The Kimber Eclipse Custom II is a better pistol it has better sights, a better trigger, a custom slide and better overall quality than the Colt. The Glock is reliable, utilitarian but an ugly piece of plastic hardware in comparison to the sleek an elegant Kimber.

  5. If you are using it for home defense than I would get the glock[higher capacity and accessory rail]. If your using it for anything else, get the kimber.

  6. Glock.

  7. I shoot a Glock 20C with a 6 1/4" barrel. It does everything that I would ever ask it to do. I can shoot it all day and have not had any issues with

my wrist getting tired. The stock barrel is not legal for hunting in my state, so I went with the custom length.
