What happens on ebay when your auction ends?

I'm new to ebay and this is my first time selling, i was just wondering what i have to do when my auction ends. How do i know when the winning bidders payment has gone through to my bank?

  1. PayPal will notify you by e-mail.

  2. You will get an email from pay pal saying that the buyer has paid you. Log into your pay pal account and the transaction and payment method will be there for you to see. You will also get an email giving you the name and address of the person you have to send it to (winning bidder).

Once the auction is over, look in your email in box, it will all become clear.

    :)

  3. I have some good tried and true hints on how to sell and ship your item out successfully.

  4. When an auction ends and an item sells, ebay will send you an email confirming this along with the buyer's name and address.

    THEN...............

Sellers will then send an invoice to the buyer for the total cost including shipping costs (although some buyers do pay before receiving an invoice from the seller.) To send invoices, you can

    1. Go to your My Ebay and click the link on the page that says SOLD in the left column. On your My Ebay SOLD page, to the right of each item sold, it will say ‘SEND INVIOCE.’ Click on this to proceed with this process.

    or

In the email that eBay sends you for your sold items with the buyer's name and address, there will also be a link for 'SEND INVOICE.'

    PAYMENT

A PayPal payment may be made and cleared in a matter of minutes and PayPal will send you an email. HOWEVER, if a buyer is doing a bank transfer from their account to PayPal to pay you, it can take 4 to 8 days for this transfer to clear. Again, once it clears, PayPal will send you an email confirming this. NEVER send the merchandise until the payment clears.

Sounds kinda confusing but keep in mind that experience is the best teacher. Everything with the ebay process will become second nature in short order for you.
