Have u or do u know anyone that bought a car from an online auction?

What kind of car and how much?..just wondering if thats something i should do

1. My uncle bought a car recently from an online auction. There are several downsides about doing this: 1. You have to be able to trust the person you are buying from that the car is in the condition they say. 2. You have to spend money to either go get the car or have it shipped to you-both can be VERY expensive! 3. If you do not know a lot about cars it is a good way to get ripped off. Good luck!
2. My dad has. He bought 2 vw bugs and resold them later on ebay. He also bought a 84 mercedes on ebay that he still has. He hasn't had any problems. Just make sure the person has a good rating and seems to know what they are talking about. All 3 cars were in other states. The bugs were delivered. He picked up the mercedes in a neighboring state. Its easier to buy within your state so you can pick it up, but you'll have fewer choices.
3. Yes...BMW...it was a great deal off ebay. Excellent if you know what you are doing.
4. My dads co worker did, and it was a van, and it had a picture of an engine, and he bought and it didn't have an engine, so they went through this HUGE court thing.
