I am looking for a website that displays pics as well as prices to buy not auction cars from joplin, moimpound?
I have tried and tried to find a website that didn't give me the run around and want me to register a bunch of crap just to send me to an auction site. I don't want to go through an auction process. I simply want to view what vehicles the Joplin, MO police department has in its impound lot and the prices with a picture of the vehicles and then if I see something I like I would like to go wherever the lot is and simply buy a car with no bs involved. Is there any website or phone number i could use to do this? Or do they make it much more complicated than it has to be or should be?

- Call the Joplin PD. They'll tell you how the handle disposal of impounds. I don't think that they put the listings up on a website yet. Or watch the public notices section of the Joplin Globe for announcements of sales. If memory serves, Joplin auctions off excess property in early spring and that might include vehicles, both impounds and city vehicles. For the most part, impounded vehicles must be sold at auction. The government is required to get as much as possible for the vehicles that they sell and auctions are a good way to prove that and the City of Joplin is the same as any other government entity in that respect. There's a chance that they run them through the auction house on 32nd St as well. But check with the Joplin PD for full information.
