For a little more than $2k, a county near me is selling a number of former police cars on an online public auction site used by state and local agencies. The following is an example: Year: 2003 Make: Ford Model: Crown Victoria Mileage: 114,817 VIN: 2FAFP71W83X169857 Running Condition: yes Engine: 4.6L Transmission: A4 Tires: 225/60R16 Good Color - White Condition: GOOD The prices range from 2k to 3k right now, depending on mileage. The auction closes in the next hour or two, and I won't get to the physical site of the vehicles before the auction closes. At this price, is it worth putting down $2k for a former police car? I assume that the county has maintained the vehicles fairly well and that they are simply being retired. The pictures of the outside of the cars makes them all appear to be in decent condition and are listed as being in good condition, but there's no way to be absolutely sure. Thanks for your feedback.

Depending on how you look at it. I imagine that MetroPCS would like you to think that it is on your behalf. When I signed up for my MetroPCS phone I gave them my real name, number address etc. I got locked out of Voicemail and was prompted to give my address. This led me to find out that the address they had on file and the one I gave them were not the same. I went into a corporate store and received a printout which included my recorded address. I went back to the store where I bought my phone and inquired... We have asked more than 4 store managers and one corporate store why the address We gave them was not the address they had on file and we were told the same thing in each store. "San Francisco tax is too expensive"..Save money..good for the customer etc. These stores offer you a chance to "save money" by eliminating a paper bill being mailed to you. In this way the customer can save as much as $3.50 or more each month by having their bill viewed online. But where do the savings come from? Less Tax of course! But wait I do pay a monthly 911 tax of about 80 cents which needs to be collected by San Francisco so I heard. It is curious that I pay a city tax on a phone that is registered out of the city. To be fair it's a good price point strategy for MetroPCS since their product (which is primarily targeting those with limited or no credit, terrorists and drug dealers) requires up to 10% tax to be collected in California which prices the product at over $50. By eliminating the higher cell tax Metropcs users in San Francisco and Daly City pay around $49 a month. Are preban 30 round AR-15 magazines legal in CA? I am listing several pre1994 30 round AR-15 magzines on an online auction site and a gentleman from California emailed his interest in purchasing them. He is aware that I cannot sell nor ship him a complete magazine, whether whole or in parts. He has told me that I can legally break them down to the individual parts..ie mag body, floor plate, follower, and spring and that it is legal to sell and send to him all of the parts except for the springs. Is it legal to sell information about other websites or sources? Here is an example of what I am wanting to do. Lets say I start a website.. www. InternetJobs. com (already taken) and want to post a listing of available internet job openings on my site. This is a work from home job field that is full of scams... like the "envelope stuffing" scams in your local paper. But there are lots of legit openings out there and I know of quite a few. As well as direct contact info for them.. I and my wife are both in one ourselves. My idea is sort of like those guys who sell you info in the paper for $35 on buying police seized cars or houses for as little at $50 each... who only give you a list of auctions and locations where you can bid? They are just selling you the list of information on when and where the auctions are held. Of course anyone could find this information on there own with time and effort.. but they would have to go through the hundreds of sites on the net, and determine which ones are scams and which are legit internet jobs. How do you deactivate the "dark car" feature on A 1993 Ford Crown Victoria police interceptor? I bought at auction A 1993 Crown Victoria police interceptor that has the "dark car" mode enabled. When a door is opened, the domelight will not illuminate. but it will function normally when turned on manually. I found many sites online that show you how to deactivate ths feature on the 96 & newer crown victoria p71's but I've been told those instuctions aren't applicable to the older model 1993 crown vic. Does anyone know how I can deactivate the "dark car" option on this vehicle safely or A site where I can find step by step instructions on how I should go about doing this? I would appreciate any help you can provide me thanks!
How do I find out the time schedule for police auctions in the state of Oregon? I am trying to find a schedule of dates and times for the police auctions (seized, foreclosed items, etc.) Many sites tell me I can pay for this information, but there must be some free public listing since it's through a government agency. Can anyone help?
I have been accused of theft from a past Employer after 9 months? hi to all , I have been accused of stealing from this employer after 9 months of leaving the company. I have been arrested by the police but not charged but i am on police bail till for a month or so. I have left the company for 9 months now . The police came to my new work place and arrested me , to question me . My old boss used to sell me items for cash ( no receipts / paperwork) . I would then after a while sell the items on an auction site for a small profit (hoping) .The old boss would just pocket the money. (Saves giving the money to the taxman) Everyone is happy . untill this happens . I need help . How can I get even? or clear my name ? I am very concerned as I do not think that I have done anything wrong i only presume that the boss saves money going to the taxman . The situation is that he sells items to staff for less than advertised in the shop. He asks for cash only. He is the boss / owner . I do have a witness who will say that he sells items to staff / customers for cash deals . He did not know that i would sell the items on at a later date . After i had left his company.

Seller miss leads with description item is illegal? I bought a self Defence item off a auction site. When I got the item it was a stun gun, which I knew was illegal but if I took it to police thought I would get charged with possesion, so I put it back in its box in a drawer untill there was a amnesty. But police got the selller and my details on his pc, came to my house I handed it over told them and told them what I thought I was buying, I have been charged waiting for a report going to Fiscal to see if its going to court the receipt I got just says Self Defence Personal protection device. I have never been in trouble before and have a shotgun licence. Any advice or whats likely to happen to would be great thanks

This phone was bought off of a Police Auction. What happens if the ESN does not check out or it was reported stolen ? This site does not guarantee that the phone was not reported to the service provider as stolen. The Provider was Sprint, if stolen can i still use this phone some how ? I don't see a sim card that can be replaced. Can anyone help me with this Question Thank's ; Beanie
