I know some sites were you can sell art like digital works, photography, drawings, and such online, but how can you safely sell it online without someone trying to save it (even a small thumbnail) to their hard drive and then trying to sell it themselves? How much would you pay for my art? I'm entering one of the pieces in my gallery in an art show/silent auction. The form wants to know what the piece is worth for auction purposes. Have my own art auction? I have been asked by a relative to see about selling 3 large peices of art. The works are 7 feet by 20 feet each and I am receiving no response from the larger auction houses. The artist has sold paintings recently for over 10k, and these were small paintings. I was thinking of the logistics, ads in auction, interior design, horse racing, and online ads. Rental of the auction site, security, ect. Art internet appraisals....???? My sister is an excellent artist and I want to sell her work online on ebay to hopefully encourage her to paint and draw more, and to ultimately show her that she can make money with her talent. She has recently painted me a fleur-de-lis painting to decorate my room with. It has excellent detail with excellent shadowing. I thought about listing it on Ebay and then cancelling the auction at last minute just to see what her painting would attract. But I just hate to start an auction and then end it for that purpose.
